Donating monetarily

Unfortunately at a time when everyone is eager to help with relief efforts you can also encounter a lot of scams. Here is a list of organizations you can safely donate to for hurricane Irma and hurricane Harvey.


Here is a list of places you can volunteer with for hurricane Irma and Harvey. If traveling is not an option right now, you can volunteer at local churches, shelters, and organizations that may need assistance with their disaster relief efforts.

Non-monetary donations

If you are skeptical about passing your money on to someone else, there are many other things you can donate to people in need. Here is a list outlining ways you can give after a natural disaster. Here is a list of places that are collecting donations and making sure they are getting to the right people for hurricane Irma and Harvey.


During times of struggle people from all over come together to read scripture and say prayers. You may want to check your local church, as many churches form prayer groups. If you do not stumble upon any prayer groups, feel free to start your own or as your pastor if it is ok to start one at your home church. Here is a list of prayer lines.
